Aw man, we’ve already got plans for @rustytanton, @spaceyg, @griftdrift, @shelbinator, @idealist and probably @sarawara to regular-ol’-meetup at the Independent then, with invitations out to a couple dozen more like @laurafries, @joeventures, @extraface, @urbanreporter, @podcrawl….

Oh Shel. Sorry! I wish I’d known. I’m pretty set on the venue since it’s on Marta and makes it easy for everyone — which was the main goal — We’ll coordinate better next time. I’m serious about making Atlanta the most Twitter connected city on the map!

Saw @film_girl Tweet about this. Grant, nice to meet you here. And I think it is awesome that you are coordinating a Tweetup!
If I can add my two cents: you and shelbinator should coordinate on this one (even if you don’t yet agree on the venue). Have a single meeting on this date - between the two of you, choose one venue. And then plan for the other venue for another date. Don’t force folks to choose between attending two different meetings the same night at different locations!
The more coordinated this is between the two of you, the more EVERYONE benefits.

@daviddeckoff I see your point but, I’ve already tweeted the heck out of this and I feel like it’s too late to change. From the sound of it, we’ll have quite a few people and the other meet up will have quite a few. Next time? World domination.
I’m planning to do these once a month-ish, and I’ve already got commitments from a few other Atlanta twitter people to help. It took planning one to get everyone to come out of the woodwork. I’m already feeling really good about the chances of hitting my goal over the summer; Make Atlanta the most Twitter connected city in the universe.
